Untimely come back

Well, I didn't get any job or assignment the past *months*.  Now I get on vacation and someone calls.  It seems some editor that is looking for illustrations.  A lot of them.  Pretty important and sounds very good.  But.. well, I had to get back home to receive the man.  I am so nervous right now.  He is coming tomorrow.  I now find like all my drawings bad and am in a stressing mood to pick some to show.  *sighs deeply*

On a side note, where I was on vacation = no computers.  And alas, sadly but true, I *do draw a lot more when there isn't a computer in sight.  I wonder if I am addicted.  Hmmm...

I did sketch a lot, lot.  I am looking to improve my coloring.. like I told before.  I coloured everything with aquarel, watercolour.  One note.. don't color on bad sketching paper.  I simply can't resist.  It's like when I use good paper, I get nervous because I have to succeed.  Odd me.  So I tend to use a lot of sketching paper.  And sketching paper.. well, doesn't hold water that good.

Juck, this one wasn't really good.  Look at the horse.  I liked the sketch.. lining the thing kinda ruined it.

Um.. lining again.. um, lining with colouring pencils doesn't seem such a good idea after all.

And then I got into a pillow mood.  Pillow there, pillows everywhere!  Weeh!  Notice the difference in paper.  This one is on good paper.  (Paper that holds water.)

Lastly, I didn't finish this one in coloring.  But the paper is already so worn...

A little explanation.  I imagined Baldwin in the morning, going through paper.. parchments, and things to rule his kingdom and matters that had to handled.  I always imagined him doing it in the bed, while awaitin new bandaging.  Um.. silly mind, not?  I think reading a lot of fanfiction also kinda brought me in a pillow mood.  :p

Sorry for the extreme loading times..

Yay, I'm not the only one. If I use really good paper, it feels like I have to do good, or else I just wasted it.

Anyway, I love the horses. They are very good. And the one with all the pillows is cute.

Hehe, aye, about the paper. Come to think of it, my mom paints and she has the same thing going.

Thanks. Horses are an obsession.. I mean, I draw them a lot.

Wow, those are amazing works! I love your watercoloring style! ^_^ Baldwin stretching in the morning and sleeping with all those pillows is so adorable. :D The moments you capture are so wonderful. ^_^v Keep it up!

I just love your sketches with all those loose lines and so smooth colors...your horses are beatiful, but i think you can do better with human anatomy. Baldwin´s leg looks a bit awkard in your last sketch maybe is question of perspective?

If it comforts you, apparently writers avoid writing at all costs so it may be generic enough to say that artists also avoid making art when possible. When something becomes your profession, you will go to extraordinary ends to avoid it ... until the muse strikes. :P

There you are!
I've just registered here, but I've been watching king_baldwin forum almost from the beggining. I just want to say I love your Baldwin drawings: the last 2 ones are so - well, don't get me wrong - so innocent&sweet (hate that word, ah, whatever:) that I couldn't help myself and I simply...printed them (don't worry, I'm not showing them off and telling they're mine:D...pity there's no signature...
Please, keep on drawing Baldwin, he's such a sweetheart on your drawings!
